WAL are please to announce that they have been retained for the next phase of the Five Valleys re-development. This phase will look to deliver new retail units at ground floor level with residential / office units above. Gavin Ward (Director) said “to work with a dynamic developer is special. Every detail is considered for the betterment of the scheme and the town centre.” The steelwork has been erected and the project is scheduled for completion in Summer 2025.

WAL were comissioned to undertake the internal reworking of an existing property and design of a small rear extension. These are a few of the before and after photos. The client was so impressed our director was invited to Christmas drinks!!

WAL are pround to have completed the next phase at Stroud Five Valleys. This striking new building in the heart of the Five Valleys shopping centre has delivered 2,000 sqft of modern office space. Gavin Ward (Directior) said “it was a lovely project to be involved with. We worked very closely with the development team to produce someting special and continue the development of the Five Valleys Shopping Centre”

WAL are proud to be associated with Morpeth ll Ltd to help deliver this stunning new store to Sandersons Arcade at Morpeth. Oliver Bonas is a British fashion and lifestyle retailer .

Gavin Ward (Director) said i have been involved with this development since its inception over 10 years ago and it’s great to see it going from strength to strength and looking as good today as when it was originally handed over to the client.

Following the successful conversion of the existing Sanderson retail unit at Morpeth, WAL are delighted to have been involved with the project to help sub-divide into 3 separate new retailers. The first to open is The White Company. What a transformation!!

As part of the ongoing upgrade of the Five Valleys Shopping Centre at Stroud, WAL are very proud to continue to work with Stroud Regeneration Ltd to deliver new and exciting tenants to the scheme.

The latest name to open is the family fashion retailer Peacocks which is located next to Sandersons Boutique.

Kate Ward (Director) said its great to welcome Peacocks back to Stroud to help underpin the Centre. The store looks amazing and sits very comfortably with the design of all the other retail units.

Following the sad demise of Wilko through out the country. In Stroud, The centre appointed WAL to quickly transform the existing retail space into 2 new retail units

Sports Direct has now opened less than 6 months after Wilkos closed its doors for the last time.

Gavin Ward (Directior) said, whilst it is very tough in the retail sector and certain retail brands will struggle and unfortunatly go into administration, we try our best to work with developers to ensure the vacant space can be reconfigured and let to new tenants.

WAL have just been part of a sucessful team to achieve a planning permission at Canal Works, Stratford-upon-Avon for a mixed use development. The scheme will see the installation of stacked shipping container style units to accommodate a wide range of local businesses as well as improvements and refurbishment of the existing buildings.

WAL are delightered to have been comissioned to undertake the transformation of this derelict landscaping depot into a ‘state of the art’ residential dwelling incorporating a new mezzanine floor so to take advantage of the stunning views of Derbyshire.

Gavin Ward (Director) said, as a practice we love to challenge ourselves with design, and boy, is this a challenge! It will be interesting to see how the building is transformed.

WAL are very proud upon completion of this 3 storey townhouse in the middle of Stroud. A compromised site, it was designed with a basement, entrance floor and upper floor maximising the natural daylight for each element.

Gavin Ward (Director) said, this was one of the most challenging projects designing and building in such a confined space. The final outcome was quite spectacular.

Construction on site at The Bell Plantation – Towcester is progressing at a pace. Initially comissioned to masterplan the site, WAL progressed to the design of the new commercial unit and associated car parking facilities.

WAL are now happy to announce it has been comissioned to masterplan phase 2 of the proposed development site.

The old Chapel in Chapeltown (Sheffield) is nearing completion with all work to be completed by the beginning of October 2021.

The contractor (Ardent) has done a fantastic job in pulling the scheme together and we look froward to sharing some completed photos in the coming weeks.

Back in February, MCH Developments and DRBC Limited bought this old Chapel with a view to converting it into 8 luxury flats. We are currently ahead of programme with marketing due to start in a few weeks time.

Gavin Ward said, “This has been a fantastic scheme to be involved with. It has had its challenges, but the team have all worked well together and we are now starting to see the fruits of our hard work.”

The progression on site at The Old Chapel is now full speed ahead. 8 luxury flats are being created within the fabric of an old chapel. The character of the building is quite fantastic, with as many of the original features being retained and highlighted.

WAL has managed to submit another 12 Planning Applications this month along with receiving a further 5 permissions. Gavin Ward said, “Things are very busy at the moment and a lot of people are now working from home both now and for the future. Discussions with clients on how to re-plan their house to accommodate further ‘office’ space are very rewarding.”

March has been a very busy month at WAL. We have achieved 3 successful planning permissions for residents of Dronfield and Sheffield as well as looking to convert numerous garages into offices or extended kitchen space now working from home has become the norm.  As well as all of the above, we continue to work on the Town Regeneration in Stroud.

We have just been comissioned to extend the existing facilities at The Bell Plantation, Towcester, as well as Masterplan the 10 acre site for future development proposals.

WAL have just been commissioned to convert and regenerate this old building into 14 high quality flats in Sheffield.

Working closely with our clients MCH Diamond Property Ltd and DRBC Developments Limited, we have re-planned and re-designed the inner workings of this building so to provide luxury apartments with dedicated car parking facilities.

We are due to start on site within the next couple of months.

As well as undertaking residential work in and around Dronfield, Ward Architecture Limited have just been comissioned to undertake 5 residential apartments at Stroud, Gloucestershire, as part of the £12m Town Centre Regeneration scheme currently being undertaken by Stroud Regeneration Limited. Gavin said, “We have been working with this particular developer for nearly 30 years and the drive and vision for the overall finished product is exceptional. We are proud and excited to continue our working relationship.”
